Thank you for attending Lobby Day and UPDATE on HB1103 #Neededlegislation #rankedchoicevoting
Thank you to those who attended RCV Lobby Day and to anyone including our Talking Points when speaking to their representatives. HB506 for Arlington was heard in subcommittee this morning. Awaiting to hear the outcome, though it was likely tabled due to fiscal impact.
This bill will likely be heard on Monday January 27th. It has a delayed enactment, and puts education and implementation costs on locality, so likely no fiscal impact.
Also, the bill is now a ***BIPARTISAN*** sponsored bill, with SIX cosponsors!
#rankedchoicevoting is an issue for ALL voters and does not advantage any party over another. RCV is a simple and actionable reform. Let's allow localities to pilot RCV elections!
